American Printing House for the Blind

Overview

World’s largest nonprofit company that creates products and services for blind or visually impaired people. Offers free guided factory and museum tour Mon-Thurs, 10AM and 2PM. Reservations not needed for individuals or groups of fewer than 10. Larger groups call for appointment. Take the self-guided Museum tour to learn the history of education of blind students and write your name in Braille, see part of Helen Keller's Bible, and try out computer games designed for visually impaired students. Museum hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30AM-4:30PM Sat,10AM-3PM.

Custom tours can be designed for your group's area of interest. Also offers scout programs, special events, and teacher/ group leader educational kits for use at your location. Staff available to make presentation at your church, club or other group meeting.
